This website is maintained by the religious-philosophical society “Rosebush”, founded in Estonia in 2023. The purpose of this religious-philosophical society is to study, develop and spread the variety of liberal (progressive) Christianity, which the members of the society call Rosebush movement and which is characterised by Christian personalism and theoaesthetics. Rosebush movement believes that there is maximum unity between The Persons of The Holy Trinity with maximum otherness, and this is an ideal for humans. This means that The Persons of The Holy Trinity and, ideally, humans are united by love and therefore united in desires, but each does not cease to be himself, retains his personality in its uniqueness, maximum difference from the rest. Rosebush movement believes that one should show maximum love for each phenomenon (it calls all persons (hypostases) of all natures (essences) phenomena), openness and vulnerability towards it, even if it is going to kill you. Rosebush movement believes that all phenomena are beautiful to one degree or another and should be admired. The beauty of phenomena can promote love not only for them, but also for other phenomena and God. In fact, theoaesthetics assumes that the essences of all phenomena are designed by God, and all phenomena are beautiful precisely because of this (because beauty is one of God’s attributes). In the detailed system of beliefs created by the founder of the religious-philosophical society “Rosebush” Arseny Sytchov (which is followed not by all followers of Rosebush movement), it turns out that beauty is inherent in phenomena not because God created them, but simply because everything that exists is beautiful to one degree or another, although it is possible that there is so much diversity and pronounced beauty in nature precisely because of God.
On this page, you will find Arseny Sytchov’s system of beliefs (unfortunately, it is currently available only in Russian, an English translation will appear later), as well as the charter of the religious-philosophical society “Rosebush” and annual reports on its economic activities (unfortunately, the documents are currently available only in Estonian and Russian).
